MOD (Mitsubishi Owners Day) 2009 - Pictures!
Despite the weather, I believe this was one of the best years yet. The MOD Squad really outdid themselves. Free food, tons of vendors, tons of giveaways, rock climbing, jumping thing for the kids and even remote control racing. No matter what your age, there was something for you to do at MOD.
St. Louis got together yet again to cruise up the morning of the event. I woke up at 4am and met up with a few people at 5:30am. We got to the main meet spot for the metro area (right across from Gateway International Raceway). Here are a couple pictures of most of the cars in the caravan.   The cruise up went very smooth. We stopped in Springfield, IL for some E-85 and gas. We also met up with Ryan2323 there. After that, we just had another hour and a half to Normal. As we got to the event, we got all our free shit and walked around to all the vendors. I ended up spending $70 on t-shirts alone. Team Illuminata Motorsports.  The Mitsu-Media sponsored GVR-4 from One Lap of America.             Mitsubishi gave away 60 sets of the 2Gb GSX wheels. These are 2-piece forged Enkeis. 60 sets. That is 240 wheels. Fo free.  Ross, the owner of an Evo and 3000GT won a set of these Eclipse wheels. F*ck you, Ross.  The sweet taste of victory.  The black shirt/blue jean mafia carrying the wheels to bustedsm's Typhoon.  The DSM essentials: jackstand, tool case, beer and a pillow. Sometimes you never know what to expect, but with DSMs, you always know.

Now, on to the cars. When we first arrived, I immediately noticed the large 3/S presence. Many of the cars were from STL3S. Add a handful from Chicago and a sprinkle of Wisconsin/Minnesota and you've got yourself one very attractive row of machines.
    Von's 550AWHP daily driven beast.  Chris' track slut.  Eric's black beauty.  R.I.P. Keith.  Racecar status.   Joe's unbelievable '99 VR-4.  Curt Gendron's gorgeous VR-4 Spyder transforming.     Jonah holding down the Starquest section.  Galants looking slow.  Stupid clean GVR-4.    Parking fail.  Cleanest/Sexiest/Bestest car at MOD. Hands down.         As per tradition:

Beautiful shots Bryan! There sure are some sexy cars there. I will definitely have to make it out next year. It would be a long drive but definitely looks like its worth it.
