Instead of them not wanting the little man's money, perhaps the little man doesn't think GM's products are worthy of his hard earned money.

Politics aside, I think Ford is developing extremely impressive vehicles. I used to have it out against Ford, but with the way they handled the recession and the direction they are currently heading in, I am a huge Ford lover. GM could've kept Saturn (for the rebadged Opels) and dumped GMC. They still regurgitate the same product in eleven different ways on the three chassis platforms they have. However, their products are world's better than what they were pooping out in the 90s. Chrysler, I don't even want to talk about their stank ass.

As far as Mitsubishi goes, they need to stick to one path. I would attribute Subaru's success to sticking with AWD and Boxer engines. Otherwise, they wouldn't stand out in America's overly-saturated new car market. Whether Mitsu goes in this new "small, efficient/hybrid" path, or tries to bring back the yesteryear with a full line-up of affordable sport vehicles. It's sad, sans the Evo, the Outlander AWD is the coolest thing they make. And if you're in the market for something like that, why not buy a Yota (or one of the eight other choices for that class)?

Mitsu really should just nix it's North America line altogether.

There really isn't anything exciting or interesting in their lineup anymore. Nothing that makes them stand out above the rest.
