Default Question about setting readiness for catalyst

I was wondering if the O2 sensor extender adapter check engine light eliminator will allow the car to think there is a cat and set the readiness for catalyst to ready. Any input is appreciated. Here is a link to the part:

That's the theory behind them I believe. I ran one back with the stock ECU and no cat for a while, never got a CEL, so I supposed it should work.

Edit: I've got one if you want it, I has been sitting in my tool box for a few years.
