Exactly. That is why Megapixels don't mean shit. Unless the sensor is the exact same, then it is like comparing apples to oranges.

I love it when people think that the Megapixel count means everything!

Just thought i would toss my .02 in here. Rigth now with the economy the way it is, there are some AMAZING deals on ebay for BRAND NEW nikon and cannon dslr cameras. complete packages - body, lens, tripod, mem card, backpack, hardcase, etc. all for less than you can bug the camera body retail.

takes a few minutes of searching and you can find good vendors with non gray market.. I.e. brand new US stuff sealed in the boxes.

I'm not any good at making html links, but here are a couple ebay item numbers.

these two are rebel XSI

290299135722
350171952285

these two are nikon d40

390040117336
350182775469

these two are nikon d60

220381106182
350183469993 <--- extreme everything auction for a GREAT price.

These two are nikon d80

350180428047
180338502507

now i didnt do any research on the sellers, but i highly recommend doign it yourself. I can go back and give you the seller i bought mine from back in January. they were perfect.

p.s. I'm not selling anything here, these are not my auctions. I'm not affilated with ebay either, I just know i got a fantastic deal when i bought my camera and thought i would share.

Right now I'm just using a Kodak Easy share CD40 but I'm getting a new one soon and I think I've just about decided on a Fuji Finepix S8100FD, anyone know anything about these?

My fiancee got me a Canon Powershot A590 IS aka $100 point and shoot. I am a firm believer that utensils only help, there has to be vision.

Here are some of the pictures with it..

I picked up a Sony DSC-H50 a couple weeks ago.

I'm still learning it, but this is one of the first pics I took with it:
