I felt like posting these up because I'm happy its the furthest my car has moved in almost a year. Broke down a year ago. Got a new motor this year, drove around my neighborhood. And then broke again. Fixed it and said screw it, I'm going into town. Drove around for the weekend, and here it breaks leaving my friends house. ha!

Well it spun a rod bearing, so I replaced the bearing in hopes it would last long enough for me to save up for my new motor. It lasted a few runs around the block. So I thought it was safe to drive it. I drove it into town, it started tapping. Day later I drove it to this girls house and then it started knocking when I got there. loud!

Its all good tho. I'm picking up a used but running complete motor out of a wrecked car from some old grandpa for 125 bucks, a rebuilt evo3 for 100 Bucks and some other goodies to make it fun to drive again and I'm gonna drive it stock for a while. No boost upping or anything. gonna build my 2.4. Replace my non stainless exhaust with a stainless. Do some other nice mods including my Evo Brake upgrade whenever I can get some 17's with a wide offset.

Merc. DSM's are baby cars. You gotta baby them. When you do, they are a dream. They can whoop up on some of the fastest muscle cars around, they can make panties drop. But when you start neglecting them they croak. I was stupid and things went to shit. And I don't have cash to properly fix things. But all the problems I've had, I will never get rid of it. Everytime I get home with it and close the door and press the arm button on the remote, I can't stop saying "Damn I love that car!" with a huge smile on my face. Its the car that has brought alot of respect to the scene in my city. Even tho the time its been down that has been lost. But when my car was roaming the streets and someone would talk shit about a 4cyl car, I was always there to show them whats what. And my car was mostly stock. Its my baby.

Oh yeah. The car when I got it was fine, except the pos hockey puck oil cooler kept comming loose. then the head gasket went out, so I replaced it with a MLS. It was running fine for a week but I didn't clean out the coolant enough and the mixture inside made this white foam shit :( Soo boom! Seized the motor up. I coulda rebuilt it and had the shit to do it, and I should have done that. But I was stupid. I traded my nice ass wheels for a "built" 6bolt, I saw ARP's and MLS and no BS so I believed the guy. It was just a head gasket install, and BS Removed. Internals were stock. Installed it, exhaust bolts were fucked up pretty bad so the exhaust isn't sealed enough. Then turbo dies, then alternator dies, then the new alternator dies, After installing the very very new alternator, it started knocking. Then it sat for a few months cause I didn't have the cash. Just got the cash, replaced the bearing and hoped it would fix to give me enough time to build my block. It lasted like 36 miles! the drive into the city.

Oh well, I'll daily drive that stock motor I'm gettin for cheap. And that 2.4 will solve all my problems, CHEAP POWER!
