MM Radio Station

I was thinking of having a MM Radio Station via Internet. MM will select DJs who have time in their hand to perform live via internet for our Members. DJs will have a schedule to do their performances (Max 2 hrs). DJs are responsible for playing (clean, edited) music from their play list or via Request by our members. They are also responsible for giving out DSM related News, such as: World records, etc... also hot topics, and MM events going on (State Reps will be giving our Djs the info). This will be transmitted world wide and w/ some advertisement we can make MM HUGE!!!!

What do you guys think?

Via donations!! We could also contact companies to advertise their name and all that crap!!

PS- Raw we should something like this also, to motivate our members to donate!!!

Have you looked into how much something like this would cost?

I did it w/ www.simcoa.org... Money wise, I don't remember, but is not expensive.

seems like something that would be cool but run costs of the site up and wouldnt be utilized that much. Dj's cost money....

Djs don't cost money... Members will be the DJs.... Just as we have State Reps, Admins, VIP... We would have DJs.

ipod touch has an app that you can request songs to itunes. may be able to configure that into an idea

I think if we had enough members on everyday...maybe a 30 minute weekly broadcast talk show involving key members. Or VIPS, MODS, ADMINS, to have the rest of the board listen too. You can do that over Media Player I think for free...Just need a microphone, and a feed line.

Although it would be cool to have a station through the site, I don't find it possible. Another reason I voted was because most of the time I am on here is when I am at work and we don't have speakers on most of the computers.

Most of the time if I do listen to internet radio, I just listen to Pandora. It's free and plays music that I like. If I don't like the song, THUMBS DOWN, and it plays something else for me.
